Fun in Washington

Riley and I went to visit mom and dad on their mission in Washington. I thought I would post a few of our highlights... since I haven't posted in over a year..... :-)
So very excited for the plane! We had to leave at 6 AM so that meant the airport around 4:30 AM... which meant waking up at....ugh...
Her favorite part was that we slept in the same bed for 4 nights... Heaven for my little lady who has had her own sleeping space since 5 months old :-) Not my favorite idea....
We found this great park at the mall while it was raining one day.... I know in Washington, who'da thunk it?? :-) It's was all heart healthy themed. So there was a balance beam stethoscope..... A medical book slide

 The vegetable slide.....

And thankfully lots of room to run around because she did that A LOT!!
 Kaboom....

There was a lot of mother daughter bonding time, something we needed after this last semester...

Eventually I had to pack her up and drag her off the beach...

Life is really hard when you're Riley......

If you hadn't noticed... Mickey AKA "Wooska"
goes everywhere..

This was a cool park, it had a ship with a slide... but it got crowded fast so we looked for other things to do...

She loved the bridge/walkway over the water in the bay. She loved watching the water come in through the grates.
She's really into counting shapes and number right now so when she saw this she thought it was the coolest thing ever!!
She loves going up the slide just as much as down....
THis is her famous "ROAR" I'm a lion look....

She thought this was a giant sandbox... Who was I to correct her??
We went to Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle on our last day...
So much fun!! I recommend it!

Zebras are her current favorite animal so she was pretty pumped to see a real one. She kept calling it over and then tried to climb the fence... yikes..
Watching the zebra

We turned a corner and whoosh there was a Giraffe... RIGHT THERE... it was totally wild... awestruck!

We decided we would pay a little and support the zoo and Riley could then feed the Giraffe. I was impressed she was willing to. She asked it she could ride one but the zookeeper said no... bummer!

Did you know Male giraffes have bumpy heads and females don't?

There were three elephants, one danced for us too!
Another one named "Bamboo" or "Boo" for short was getting a bath, She was 45 years old! She looks great! Riley was really upset that no one gave her a towel!

All in all we had a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa, but I have to say, how did Grandpa sneak out of all the pictures??
